"Tamala" is the geological name for hard coastal limestone found in the extensive sedimentary core of the Carnarvon and Perth Basin in Western Australia. The stone dates back to the middle to late Pleistocene era.

It is composed of calcarenite formed though deposition by wind, containing quartz grains and having a cross-bedded nature.

Its use extends to many different applications from crushed road base, because of its ability to withstand movement and compaction, to dimensional cut bricks for residential and commercial projects that require genuine aesthetic and acoustic attributes.

The strong thermal properties of NATURAL TAMALA LIMESTONE ensure it will limit heat conduction. Many sub-division developers and construction companies also use NATURAL TAMALA LIMESTONE to reduce noise transfer and enhance sound clarity.

"NATURAL TAMALA LIMESTONE is the perfect insulation material, keeping a home cool in summer, warm in winter and acts as an excellent sound barrier."
